The Outside World is Full of Surprises If you keep your chickens cooped up all the time, they will get bored. So, remember to take them out to the yard for a walk every day.
Here are a few rules for taking your chickens out for a walk
Daily Walks: You can take any chickens (yours or anyone's) out for a walk every day without needing to connect your wallet.
Coop Hours: The chicken coop is open from 8:00 am UTC to 8:00 pm UTC. It opens at 8:00 am UTC, and the chickens can start walking out. At 8:00 pm UTC, the coop closes, and the chickens will return inside.
Walk as Much as You Like: You can walk your chickens as many times as you want during the coopโs open hours.
Finding Items: While walking, chickens have a chance to find a random item. Each chicken can find only one item per day, if any. They can continue walking after finding an item until the coop closes.
Each day, when the coop opens, users can take the chickens for a walk.
While in the garden, thereโs a 10% chance that an item will drop (except for ETH).
When an item drops, thereโs a 50% chance it will be hidden. So, even if the garden looks empty, the item might be concealed. Guide your chicken around the garden, and you might discover a surprise!
If your chicken finds a hidden item, it will notify you. At this point, youโll need an item called a "Scoop" to collect the treasure. Details about the "Scoop" can be found in the "The Items" section below.
The user must guide the chicken to pick up the item; otherwise, it will remain on the ground.
After picking up the item, the chicken can still leave the coop, but it wonโt be able to collect another item that day since items only drop once daily (with a 10% drop rate).
The coop automatically closes at 8:00 pm UTC, and the chickens will return inside.
Once the coop is closed, the chickens canโt go out again, so if the user doesnโt pick up the item before then, it will be lost.
Here is the list of items that can drop in the garden:
This is the native token of the project, and users can use ENG for various activities within Eggle.
Each time a token is picked up, it will be worth 10 ENG.
PEPE Token
A meme token that chickens can occasionally find.
Your chicken might find an ETH token if it's lucky! But there are special rules for this reward:
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Only one chicken can win the ETH token each month.
Special Day: Once a month, there will be a special day when an ETH token drops. On this day, only one lucky chicken will find the ETH token during its walk. All other chickens will not find anything.
Guaranteed Find: The lucky chicken has a 100% chance of finding the ETH token during its walk. When an ETH token drops, it wonโt be hidden, meaning the ETH will always appear and be found by the lucky chicken.
Claiming the ETH: The owner of the lucky chicken must claim the ETH and transfer it to their wallet by 11:59 pm UTC on the same day. If not claimed, the ETH will disappear.
Donโt Miss Your Shot: If no chicken picks up the ETH token on the drop day, or if the owner forgets to claim it, there will be another ETH drop day.
The Odds Are the Same: If the owner of the chicken that found the ETH forgets to claim it, that chicken will still have the same chance as others to find ETH on the next drop day.
Monthly Opportunity: Each month, only one user can claim the ETH token. If no one claims the ETH in a given month, the chance will not carry over to the next month. Each new month will still feature only one opportunity for a lucky user to claim the ETH token.
Towel (NFT): Increases the chicken's chance of pooping by 25% (from 50% to 75%).
Towels cannot be stacked to further increase the chance.
The NFT towel must be sent to the TBA to be activated.
If more than one towel is sent, it can be retrieved.
To review the "Clean Shit" mechanism, see here:
Light (NFT): Increases the chance of Super Rare chickens laying golden eggs by 5% (requires a Nest NFT).
The NFT light bulb must be sent to the TBA to be activated.
Only Super Rare chickens benefit from the +5% buff from the light bulb.
A nest is required, as chickens only lay eggs when they have a nest.
The light bulb's effect cannot be stacked. Sending multiple light bulbs will not increase the chance beyond 5%.
If more than one light bulb is accidentally sent, it can be retrieved.
Scoop (NFT): Essential for digging up hidden items in the garden.
While guiding your chicken on a walk, if it discovers a hidden item, it will notify you.
If the chicken doesn't already have a Scoop, it will ask you to send one to its inventory.
If the chicken has a Scoop in its inventory, it will automatically dig up and collect the hidden item.
After equipping the chicken with a scoop, any hidden item it finds will automatically appear, allowing the user to see what the chicken has discovered. The chicken will then automatically pick up the item and return to the coop.
Afterward, the user can still place the chicken in the garden to walk around, but it won't be able to find any more items, as there is a limit of one item per day.
Diamond (NFT): Used in the upcoming Pepe game.
Bamboo (NFT): Used in the upcoming Pepe game.
Bone (NFT): Used in the upcoming Pepe game.
Brick (NFT): Used in the upcoming Pepe game.
Anyone can take the chickens for a walk without needing to connect a wallet. However, unlike the "Clean Shit" activity, where the person who cleans benefits, the rule for items found in the yard is different:
All items that the chicken picks up belong to the owner of the chicken.
Other users can still control the chicken to walk and pick up items, but those items will only belong to the chicken's owner, even if someone else took the chicken for a walk.
Items picked up by the chicken need to be claimed by the owner into their wallet. If not claimed by 11:59 pm UTC, the items will be lost.
Once claimed, the owner can use these items permanently.
For example, if you send a towel to your chicken, its chance of pooping increases from 50% to 75% whenever the system activates the pooping event, and this increased chance remains as long as the NFT towel is in the chicken's contract.
The "Walk the Chicken" feature is a mini-game designed to enhance interaction with chickens and provide chances to collect useful items. Here are some key points:
Ownership: All items collected by a chicken during a walk belong to the chickenโs owner. If the person taking the walk is not the owner, they cannot claim the items unless they are also the owner.
Time Zone: All times mentioned are in UTC, not local time. Users should convert UTC to their local time to avoid missing any events.
Claiming Items: Items must be claimed to transfer to the owner's wallet by 11:59 pm UTC. If not claimed by this time, the items will be lost. Users should check the time carefully.
Using Items: Once claimed, items are permanently owned and can be reused multiple times.
End of Month: If the chicken turns into a roast chicken at the end of the month, any NFT items not removed from the TBA will be lost as they will be burned along with the roast chicken. So, remember to take items out of your roast chicken before burning it.
Managing NFT Items: NFT items can be removed from the TBA and transferred between chickens at any time. Users can also save duplicate items for future use, use them with other chickens, or sell them on OpenSea.
Benefits: These items offer various advantages. While they might not be major, even small benefits can make caring for chickens more enjoyable.
Future Items: New items are being developed for the future, so users should stay tuned for updates!
